About Christine

Christine Ammann was born in Germany where using herbs for minor ailments is common practise.  This gave her an interest in complementary therapies from an early age.  After losing her mother at the age of 22, she was further inspired to live her life to the fullest and to nurture her own physical and mental wellbeing.

In 1986, Christine migrated to Australia with her partner, where she continued her clerical training and worked for various companies in Adelaide.  She discovered kinesiology in 1997 while searching for an explanation for her children's health concerns.  Both children suffered from allergies, digestive problems and severe headaches with no apparent physical cause.  After only a few kinesiology treatments their headaches and stomach pains disappeared completely, the allergies became more manageable, and their behaviour, reading and writing ability improved.

Following the profound success of kinesiology on her own family, Christine began studying this modality herself.  She has been closely linked with  Kingston Family Clinic for many years and now provides consultations from Sykes Chiropractic at 536 Brighton Road, Brighton SA, as a Registered Specialised Kinesiology Practitioner, NLP Practitioner and Bowen Therapist.

Her treatments include a combination of Kinesiology, Bowen and Craniosacral Therapy, Neuro Linguistic Programming, Foot Reflexology, and Bush Flower Essences.

Christine is continually increasing her knowledge in kinesiology and other complementary therapies and has had the opportunity to study with many international instructors (including Charles Krebs and Matthew Thie) in Australia and Europe. She holds a Government accredited Diploma in Kinesiology and Bowen Therapy, a Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment, is a Neuro Linguistic Programming Practitioner and an accredited instructor and assessor of various kinesiology modalities.

Her passion in Kinesiology has led her to develop a 'Stress Less with Ezi-KinesiTM Body & Mind Tune Up' book and audio CD plus her own Kinesiology courses:

'Kinesiology: An Application for Professionals'
'Dynamic Kinesiology 1 - Practitioner Essentials
'Dynamic Kinesiology 2 - Health, Learning & Behaviour
'Dynamic Kinesiology 3 - Health, Learning & Behaviour
'Dynamic Kinesiology 4 - The Gut & Brain Connection

She developed these courses after kinesiology clients and students repeatedly asked her to share her knowledge and create an integrated and structured training program, providing sound kinesiology skills and explanations of 'why' these techniques work, how to explain them plus a framework into which other modalities can be incorporated easily.

Her ability to demonstrate and explain complicated concepts in an easily understood and no-nonsense manner has seen her students enjoy their studies and graduate with skill and confidence, providing a springboard for many successful careers.

Her courses have proven so successful and popular that some basic Kinesiology tuition has been taught through the Royal Adelaide Hospital Staff Development training schedule.

She continues to share her passion with others by providing a training program from beginner to practitioner level, including a nationally recognised, Government accredited Cert IV (HLT42807) and Diploma (HLT5507) in Kinesiology, in conjunction with the Smart Bowen Pty Ltd, Registered Training Organisation.
